The Three Questions of a King
A weary king, burdened by the affairs of his kingdom, once sought the counsel of a wise man.
"When is the most important time in life?
Who is the most important person?
What is the most important thing to do?"
The wise man replied,
"The most important time is this very moment.
The most important person is the one who is with you right now.
And the most important thing is to do good for the person who is beside you."
— Adapted from The Three Questions by Leo Tolstoy
So much of our lives is spent regretting yesterday and worrying about tomorrow.
Yet the past cannot be changed, and the future has not yet arrived.
The only time we can truly love is now.
The only time we can truly forgive is now.
The only time we can truly give thanks is now.
And the most important person is the one standing beside us today.
The most important thing we can do is to bring goodness into that person's life.
Doing good does not necessarily mean offering material help.
Sometimes it is a gentle word.
Sometimes it is simply the gift of our presence.
Today is precious because it will never come again.
Do not postpone your love.
Do not postpone your gratitude.
Do not postpone your forgiveness.

Reflection of the Day
★ A happy person is someone who chooses to make today extraordinary.
Why not prepare a gift today—something that someone else will cherish and remember for a lifetime? ★
